Rules for Nebraska Angus Queen
- Girl must be at least 16 years of age and not have passed her 21st birthday by January 1 of current year.
- Girl must be a current member of the Nebraska Junior Angus Association.
- Parents or guardians must be current members of the Nebraska Angus Association.
- Girl must reside in the state of Nebraska.
- Girl must not be married.
- Girl may only serve one year as Queen unless there are no other candidates.

Requirements of Nebraska Angus Queen
- Official duties will begin at the Nebraska State Fair of the year crowned.
- Attendance at the following shows to hand out ribbons and awards:
- Nebraska State Fair – Open Class Angus Show
- Nebraska State Fair – 4-H and FFA Angus breeding heifer show and Angus steer shows.
- Nebraska Cattlemen's Classic in February at Kearney – Senior Angus Show and Junior Show
- Nebraska Junior Angus Field Day Show
- Nebraska Pen-of-Three Beef Show
- Attend the Nebraska Junior Angus Field Day to crown the new queen.
